Fund Supervisor – Real Estate (ref: 0895)


per annum

This will include:

  • Supervision of staff
  • Being a key point of contact for both internal and external parties in relation to the financial management of investments responsible for
  • Liaising with Fund and Asset Managers to understand the underlying transactions and ensure appropriate financial operation of the funds/investments
  • Review of periodic accounting reports to agreed formats within agreed deadlines (internal/external clients)
  • Cover & review of unit pricing
  • Review of quarterly reports for Joint Venture clients including detailed variance analysis
  • Review of monthly and quarterly reports for Segregated Funds
  • Oversight of external debt facility including interest payments and regular covenant analysis
  • Oversight of distributions payable from certain investment funds
  • Oversight of UK Fund cash management
  • Cover for review of daily bank reconciliation process
  • Review of statutory financial statements
  • Liaison with external auditors
  • Adhoc queries (internal & external)
  • Oversight of financial statements prepared by third party service providers
  • Review of information to ensure compliance with relevant taxation requirements
  • Implementation of new projects
  • Implementation of new financial reporting models and macros
  • Continually monitor and improve, where necessary, the processes, controls and procedures associated with the role

Skills & Knowledge Essential

  • Qualified ACA/ACCA qualified accountant (or equivalent)
  • Management and supervisory experience.
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to understand, question and challenge a range of financial data
  • Confidence to communicate effectively with a range of internal and external parties
  • Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Good experience of financial statutory accounting
  • This will be a highly visible role so requires someone with an approachable personality, strong focus and first class communication skills.
  • Excel (to advanced level is desirable)
